Quest QM12MP Monitor System Totally Good at the Tote

The Tote Hotel has been a live rock band institution for 30 years. Increasing government regulations looked liked forcing its closure recently but hard work on the part of music supporters and new management may now see it running for another 30 years.

Also working hard is the Quest monitor system. As part of a new audio system, the Quest QM12MP and QM215FR were selected to provide fold-back for a system that must cope with every possible type of live rock band. the only thing the bands have in common is that they are all loud.

The Quest system can come up with the goods night after night with a minimum of EQ and no processing. The stage is not large and the multi send system must high SPL in an environment that is a monitor engineer’s nightmare. Despite the demanding conditions, the QM12MP system needs minimum EQ correction. In fact, less than the front-of-house system. (See photo).

With a system maintenance cost of zero in this tough gig, maybe the monitor system will outlast the venue?
