NAB Utilises Quest Engineering for Its Australia Wide Store Facelift

Quest Engineering was recently approached by SOUNDCORP to come up with a cost effective solution for an Australia wide roll out of interactive background music systems to be installed within National Australia Bank (NAB) retail stores.

The first phase of the project required 300 systems which could be easily installed by electricians and contractors. Particular requirements for Quest Engineering involved designing a custom built 3 channel amplifier of 60 watts per channel, branded with NAB's logo and contact details to its dedicated help desk. The system also had to have exceptional after-sales support, a solid warranty and workhorse reliability; all of which Quest Engineering is renowned for. The time frame to deliver was extremely tight. With Quest utilising the power of its in-house design team coupled with the assistance of its manufacturing partners and excellent communication from SOUNDCORP staff; the entire team rose to the challenge producing a working sample to the client within 10 days.

Once the sample was approved, an immediate go ahead was given to the factory. Considering that the entire shipment had to be completed and ready within 6 weeks, the project was a high priority. Quest was able to design an completely execute the project, end to end, complete with documentation inside of 9 weeks. In addition to these specially built amplifiers, NAB chose to include Quest QTC 2040BC speakers. These were selected for their excellent intelligibility, dispersion characteristics, and their ability to produce long-term reliability.

The packaged solution was then delivered to SOUNDCORP who managed the order from that point.

The end result? A very satisfied customer. Quest Engineering's Custom Development arm has been steadily providing OEM services to the audio industry over the past decade with projects just like these constantly in the works.
