NOW HEAR THIS! Johnstone Audio has a new monitor system

(When only the loudest will do)

Johnston Audio Melbourne Australia started when in 1985, sound guy Bruce Johnston - armed with a PA, a truck and loads of enthusiasm - hit the Australian rock band touring circuit. From these humble beginnings the company has grown to become a market leader in the Australian audio production business. In the subsequent years Bruce received recognition as an Entech Award winner and world tours with Crowded House, Silverchair, Wolf Mother, The Killers, Oasis and many others!

Johnston Audio has long held a commitment to customer satisfaction through the providing of quality equipment, knowledgeable, friendly staff and a comprehensive service throughout the whole production process.

One of Bruce’s sound guy enterprises is permanent venue hire and numerous of Melbourne’s live band venues have Bruce’s sound systems. The audio systems need to handle a wide variety of shows and most importantly, need to sound good, be easy to use and reliability is essential. That pretty much sums up the Quest design philosophy, so Bruce’s equipment inventory is well represented with Quest foldback monitors and sub bass systems.

His most recent Quest purchase was a quantity of QM 700 15” foldback monitors. Bruce already owns a large number of Quest QM12MP monitors and the QM700 takes high SPL foldback to a new level. Designed for larger stage environments, the QM700 is available as a left and right mirrored pair (as is the 12MP), and these boxes will take some real punishment. The QM700 is designed for full range sound and can double as a drum fill when needed. Like all Quest systems, voice projection is the main design focus and the boxes output high level voice without the need for lots of EQ or a system processor.

Bruce recently upgraded an iconic Melbourne Australian live rock band venue monitor system with the release of the high SPL QM 700 series mirrored fold-back system. And the results? All smiles among the sound guys and the resident system tech, not to mention the bands.
