Durban South Africa; Durban Botanic Gardens is a great venue for staging live music with a mixture of local and overseas music acts. With a history spanning 150 years the gardens have been an important part of Durban’s cultural landscape and in the 21st century, the cultural scope now includes live music concerts.
For the music concert program for the park, local production company “Sounds Ideal” are regular contractors for the larger events.
With over 45 years in business Sounds Ideal is one of South Africa’s longest standing rental companies. Nadeem Moosa is the 3rd Generation of the family at the helm of this highly professional company. Recently Moosa invested in a Quest monitor system mainly consisting of QM700 high powered 15” foldback monitors. These are designed for larger stages and are perfect for outdoor stages and venues needing a very high SPL foldback system.
Pictured is a recent concert featuring a number of iconic South African acts, Johnny Clegg and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and four Grammy Award-winning trailblazers in a concert day that performed well into the early hours.
